Young OCs – Undergraduate Support
The Caterham community swung into action to support recent leavers and undergraduates navigating life at university in challenging circumstances.
Teachers hosted Zoom drinks with groups of former pupils and there is more to come for OCs, parents and pupils with both the Lockdown Quiz reprisal on Saturday 10 October and the next Caterham Connected Insight Webinar on Friday 16 October – see Events section below for more info. Old Cat undergraduates were also able to use the Caterham Connected platform to research other OCs in their area and find mentors across their preferred future career area.
Ceri Jones, Headmaster said: “It was wonderful for teachers to catch up with last year’s A Level classes and find out how they are settling into an unusual term at uni, with more catch ups due in the coming weeks. It was great for our Old Caterhamians to see familiar faces amid their new surroundings across the country– albeit on screen. It was also heartening to see their good humour and resilience at university.”
