Young Medics
This Tuesday, a handful of aspiring medics from The Wright Society and Oxbridge applicants attended a very informative BMAT course run by the lovely Dana from Medic Portal. The day was filled with tough problems, advice and laughter. We carefully went through the various sections of the BMAT including: Section 1 on thinking skills, Section 2 on scientific knowledge and Section 3 on the essay. Tasked with a new style of problems we hadn’t encountered before proved a challenge. However, our wonderful speaker helped coach us along the way, whilst making the day interactive by issuing clickers for the multiple choice questions and dispersing group collaboration (with an element of competition) throughout the day. I am undoubtedly confident this BMAT course will come in useful when revising for the exam come September.
