Woyda Maths Competition
On 6 November Caterham School hosted the second round of the Hans Woyda Maths competition against Woldingham School. Eva (Third Year), Lucy (Fifth Year), Haley (Lower Sixth Form) and Thomas (Upper Sixth Form) represented Caterham School. Both teams started the competition really well, and after the first two rounds the result was a tie. Caterham did brilliantly in rounds three and four (getting, for the first time, full marks in the group round, showing great teamwork) and achieving a lead of six marks (21-15). The Caterham pupils continued their very good performance in the remaining rounds and manage to secure a comfortable victory (40-25) which place them second in their group. The pupils were very pleased with their effort and had great fun! With one more round to go Caterham School is in a very good position to qualify for the next stage of the competition!
