Vocalpoint Delight for Local Charity

Vocalpoint Delight for Local Charity

Our upper-voice choir, Vocalpoint were invited to support local charity Renewed Hope by giving a performance at Redhill’s Belfry Shopping Centre. Renewed Hope is supported by the Sixth Form Charity Committee this year and is based in Redhill providing practical solutions and emotional support to the homeless, vulnerable and isolated in East Surrey.

Vocalpoint performed a selection of musical theatre, pop and Christmas hits with great style and confidence and flew the flag for Caterham School with style. A busy, pre-Christmas Saturday afternoon allowed the choir to sing to many local shoppers who had amassed in the centre both by the stage and on the balconies above. It was a joy to support the charity by sharing the vocal talents ofVocalpoint and a fantastic £2095 was raised. This ensures the homeless and vulnerable have a hot meal at Christmas.

Huge thanks to Mr Assen, the music department and of course our wonderful singers. The choir is open to any pupil, any age or ability and new singers are always welcome.
