TIE Tour Inspires Partnership Primary Schools

TIE Tour Inspires Partnership Primary Schools

In November, a group of talented Third Year pupils formed a Theatre in Education company. This last week they toured their performance of Roald Dahl’s “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” to our partnership primary schools and did an outstanding job!

Congratulations to the cast who embarked on a remarkable journey to deliver a truly memorable experience for our local community. Their commitment to rehearsing lines, choreography, music and perfecting their character portrayals was evident in every aspect of their performance. The group transported pupils in Years 2 to 6 into the whimsical world of a forest court, with multiple silly musical numbers depicting Goldilocks’ crimes against the three bears, teaching their audiences that actions have consequences. In several instances, pupils watching became a jury of their own, offering their enthusiastic opinions as to whether or not Goldilocks was innocent or guilty! The verdict is still out…

Not only did the TIE company display impressive acting skills, but they also showcased their versatility by demonstrating remarkable teamwork and collaboration. Every member of the cast worked seamlessly together, supporting, and encouraging one another, which resulted in a cohesive and captivating production. They demonstrated that success on stage is not merely an individual endeavour but a collective effort where each member’s contribution is vital. Based on the joyful reactions of their audiences, we can certainly hope that they have inspired a new generation of performers to tread the boards.

Once again, congratulations to the company on an exhilarating and hugely successful week of touring a production. Your commitment, talent, and outstanding performances have left a mark on our local primary schools, and you should be extremely proud of what you have achieved.
