Third Year Supertato Antics

To celebrate the start of National Book Week, Mrs Yankova’s Third Year drama class entertained the Pre-Prep with a performance of Sue Hendra’s hilarious and popular book, Supertato.  With some animated narration from Josh, Scarlett and Rosie, Will wowed the children as the superhero potato who fought off the dastardly plans of the Evil Pea, as the other vegetables and fruit looked on helplessly. Joel had the children laughing as the cucumber tied to the post with loo roll and Reuben played the poor broccoli whose face had been drawn on by the naughty pea. After an exciting chase round the hall, Supertato finally triumphed and the children then had to try to find the ten pictures of peas hidden around Mottrams to win some sweets!

This was an excellent performance opportunity for the Third Year pupils, who learnt about the challenges of performing to a very young audience, and it was a wonderful way to launch Book Week in the Pre-Prep.
