The Wright Society Shares Its Vision with Prep
Our Sixth Form medics society, The Wright Society (TWS), visited the Prep School again this week following last week’s inspirational Year 4 and Year 6 lessons where pupils learnt about broken bones and how to fit a sling.
This week Joel V (President of TWS) and Leane B & Emily v A (Vice Presidents of TWS) took the Prep School assembly. They explained what the Wright Society is all about (helping Caterham pupils who want to become medics, dentists and vets achieve their dream), and then some gory details about what doctors used to do in years gone by – from ancient myths about the benefits of drinking mercury to urine treatment to using maggots and leaches. Needless to say the Preppies loved it!
