Rory Takes Top Spot

Last weekend, Fifth Year hockey star and England U16 international, Rory W, was selected to play for Oxted Mens’ 1st XI in their National Premier League Top 6 clash against Surbiton HC.

Making his Premier League debut in such a big game is a huge nod to Rory’s progress over the year and a sign that he is able to compete in the top league in the country against full senior internationals and Olympians. Playing alongside Mr Mugridge, Oxted battled well and were very much in the game, but unfortunately Surbiton HC came away with a 5 – 3 win. Oxted will look to regroup ahead of their next clash this weekend vs Wimbledon HC. We look forward to seeing Rory in action for the 1st XI again soon!
