Rory, Arthur and Tjimen Head to National Indoor Hockey Champs

Congratulations to three Caterham School Year 11 pupils, Rory W, Arthur P and Tijmen P, who were part of Oxted Hockey Club’s u16 indoor success on Sunday in the South East Indoor Championships. 

As a result, Oxted will compete in the National Indoor Championships to be held at the Derby Arena on 11 January. 

The South East, along with London, is the hardest area finals to negotiate due to the shear strength and size of clubs in the South East area. Despite this, Oxted were unbeaten throughout only conceding one goal.  

They beat Guildford, Woking and East Grinstead and drew with Sevenoaks, giving them 10 points and the ticket to the finals.  

Rory, Arthur and Tijmen were all on the scoresheet on the day and they will look forward with confidence to the finals in the New Year.
