Record Number of Medics Interviews
This year’s medics have achieved a record year of pre-Christmas interviews. This is the time of year that our Upper Sixth medics, dentists and vets of The Wright Society usually anxiously await news of any interviews, often having to waiting until late Spring to hear anything back from the Medical Schools.
Through UCAS our medics, dentists and vets can apply to four different universities but are pleased with even just one interview as the courses are so oversubscribed and competitive. This year has seen an unparalleled success with most of our pupils being interviewed at least once before Christmas, and some securing two and even three interviews before Christmas. Dr Wright, Patron of TWS, commented that ‘what is even more pleasing is that
The Wright Society is open to pupils for our partner state schools and all of our guest pupils from these schools have been offered interviews. This is a reflection of the amazing work and effort the pupils have put in and a sign of the success of The Wright Society in preparing them for their applications’. Mr Quinton added that ‘as we approach Christmas we are already thinking of the New Year and the work starting with our new Lower Sixth medics to prepare them for the dreaded but all important UCAT exam next summer that they will all sit. But right now we wish all our students luck in the interviews that are coming thick and fast
