PPE Donation for Winter Months
The Caterham global family showed a phenomenal effort of support for the local community from with the donation and delivery of 10,000 pieces of PPE for North Tandridge Primary Care Network. The PPE provision will support the local care network through the autumn and winter months. The delivery was fundraised, sourced, arranged and donated by Caterham boarding pupils and their families. Staff, parents and pupils also joined forces to make over 900 visors as the school’s design department turned into a distanced PPE production line during lockdown under the guidance of Caterham’s Design and Art departments.
The PPE donation for North Tandridge PCN was spearheaded by Sixth Form pupil Lily G with support from her friends Ethan L and Electa Y who were moved by the shortage of PPE for health and social care workers and how it was affecting the local community in Caterham and beyond. The need first came up in a regular online catch up between Mrs Quinton, Head of Beech Hanger boarding house, and her house pupils. The pupils’ responded almost immediately, keen to help in any way they could.
