Old Park Woods Logs for Sale!
The sustainable management of Old Park Wood is progressing very well. Several areas to the sides of the central ride have been coppiced and the felled wood from this and other areas of the site has been seasoned. This project has been supported by Fourth Year DofE volunteers, guided by Mr Wilkinson.
We are delighted that a quantity of 40cm x 40cm bags of air dried fire wood are available for sale. An initial batch of 50 bags are offered for sale via Wisepay at £8 per bag, and will be ready for collection during the Prep School Christmas Fair, 10am-1pm Saturday 1 December. In order to be as ‘green’ as possible the log bags are re-usable and will need to be deposited back to school on Monday 3 December for re-filling.
Over the coming weeks and months logs will continue to be available for purchase via Wisepay, with collections available after drop off twice a week (location and timing for this are still TBC).
All proceeds from the sale of Old Park Wood will go directly back into the regeneration, education and conservation work within the school woods.
