Maths Medal Haul with Olympiad Qualification
Congratulations to the 135 Third, Fourth and Fifth Year pupils who took part in the Intermediate Maths Challenge in the final week of January. There was a fantastic haul of 45 Gold, 52 Silver and 23 Bronze certificates.
Special Congratulations go to:
Rupert and Jake from the Third Year who have qualified for the Cayley Olympiad, with Rupert taking Best in Year and Jake a close second.
Jiayi and Jaden from the Fourth Year who have qualified for the Hamilton Olympiad, with Jiayi taking Best in Year and Jaden a close second.
Ian from the Fifth Year who qualified for the Maclaurin Olympiad and took Best in School.
Also very well done to the 12 pupils from the Third Year who qualified for the Grey Kangaroo (William, Kaden, Nathan, Jacob, Anthony, Evelyn, Joseph, George, Luke, Nigel, Star and Xavier), and the 21 pupils from the Fourth and Fifth Years who qualified for the Pink Kangaroo (Tiantian, Ben, Yihu, Yu-In, James, Hanyi, Rohan, Hinson, Taran, Yueying, Jingyuan, Posh, Cato, Josh, Antonia, Antonio, Alex, Miles, Annette, Ethan and Oliver.
The Olympiads are extremely challenging two hour papers that require rigorous and clear reasoning, held on 20 March. The Kangaroos are challenging one hour Multiple Choice papers, also held on 20 March 20.
