Live Lounge
On Thursday evening, the music department hosted another fantastic Live Lounge night in the Deayton Theatre, marking the opening of The Liu Recording Studio.
It was wonderful to see so many pupils perform a range of songs from ABBA to Sam Smith, all with energy and musicality. The audience were treated to some particular highlights, including an original track by Nathan Freedman, Zach Millar’s stunning rendition of John Legend’s All of Me, Annabella Woodruff and Zara Pitt’s wonderful version of ABBA’s Chiquitita, and Elena Andrew’s moving performance of Lewis Capaldi’s Someone You Loved.
It was particularly impressive to see so many of our First and Second Year pupils perform with such maturity and style. Special mention must go to Rajan Prashad in the First Year, who requested some singers so that he could perform One Republic’s ‘Counting Stars’ on the tabla. He did not disappoint! The audience were in awe of his talented performance. Well done Rajan and well done to all our vocalists for another enjoyable showcase.
