Cricket Fixtures Report
It has been a busy few weeks for the cricketers, even with the weather conspiring against us at times.
The girls have been leading the way, and one of the main highlights was every First Year girl representing the school in the U12 A, B, C and D teams in a fixture against Eltham College on Friday 11 June. The girls won three out of the four matches and there were some excellent skills on show as well as lots of fun had by all. This was followed the following day by the U12A and U13A teams playing their first hard ball matches, against City of London Freemen’s, with the U12s showing the U13s how’s it done with a magnificent victory. Jess, Darcy, Millie and Elise were the stand out performers in amongst a brilliant team effort.
The boys enjoyed a successful first Saturday back after half term with a block fixture against Alleyns and Dulwich, winning 6 out of 9 matches. It was great to see Johnny make his first team debut and played in such a composed manner in a lovely partnership with Fraser, while Freddie smashed another 60. Nathan was again the pick of the bowlers for the 1st XI finishing with 4 wickets as we won by 36 runs.
Nathan has also enjoyed a brilliant few weeks with Surrey, playing in both the 2nd XI and the U18s. In one of the U18 matches against Essex, he smashed 53 from only 23 balls including five 6s and three 4s to help them to a stunning victory. While Callum has continued to go from strength to strength while representing Surrey U15s.
