Celebrating Eid Mubarak!
On 1 April the school community came together to celebrate Eid with a showcase in the Concourse. Throughout Ramadan, Muslims around the world undertake a fast between the hours of sunset and sunrise and spend a lot of time in self-reflection while studying the Qur’an and connecting with Allah on a spiritual level. After a full month of sacrifice and dedication, Eid al-Fitr is a time to come together with family and loved ones to celebrate.
As part of the showcase we saw Henna being applied, ate dates and discussed how our Muslim pupils celebrate Eid and Ramadan. Some pupils from the Prep School also came to celebrate and we learned a lot about what Eid and Ramadan mean to Muslims. Thank you to Mrs Seal for organising this amazing event.
