Caterham Pupils Compete at U16 and U18 Indoor National Finals

Last weekend saw the England Hockey U16 and U18 Indoor National Finals take place in Derby. Seven Caterham pupils were playing for their clubs who had won their regional competition and were representing the South East of England at the finals.

Fourth Year Georgie O. claimed the U16 National title with her club, Knole Park HC, scoring a crucial goal in the final. Upper Sixth players Ethan vH., William L. and Josh F. made a hugely impressive third National Final in a row for their club Epsom HC (after winning the previous two), but this time it was not to be, and they finished as U18 silver medallists. Fifth Years Rory W., Tijmen P. and Arthur P. represented Oxted HC U16 team at the finals, a tough group draw meant they ultimately finished 7th.

Huge congratulations to everyone involved and we look forward to seeing how these pupils progress during the outdoor hockey term.
