Caterham Netball Academy
During October half term the Caterham Netball Academy hosted another successful two day camp, this time joined by Surrey Storm players Leah Goss and Rhea Dixon. Over the course of the two days we saw over 20 budding young netballers who were keen to improve their netball knowledge and skills. The first day focused on attack, looking at fancy footwork, creative movement and solid ball handling. The hard work from day one was all in preparation for day two with Surrey Storm shooter Rhea. The girls were treated to lots of tips and tricks on how to shoot like a Superleague player, as well as gaining valuable insight and guidance on how to shoot under pressure.
There was some exciting netball on display from all the girls present. New to camps this time were ‘Effort and/ or Achievement’ certificates which were handed out to three very well deserving young netballers!
If you’d like to get involved in the Academy there are term time sessions which run weekly; Tuesdays 6.00-7.30pm (Year 7+) and Wednesday’s 5.30-7.00pm (Year 3-6). Spaces are still available so contact [email protected]
