Caterham Engineers Problem Solve at SATRO
On Tuesday night 15 pupils from Caterham travelled to St Bede’s School in Redhill to take part in the first round of the SATRO problem solving competition. This engineering based event challenges pupils from across Surrey to devise and build solutions to a problem and 90 minutes later their creation is tested. Caterham sent three teams, one each from the Third Year, Fourth Year and Lower Sixth Form. The night went very well with all three teams qualifying for the final that takes place at Royal Holloway in two weeks’ time. In particular, the Lower Sixth team managed to win their heat with a well-thought through design. Well done to Freddie A, Franchesca C, Freddie C, Elyna G, Oscar N and Darryl W.
