Casey M Selected for Wales U18 International Hockey Squad

Congratulations to Head of School and boys’ hockey first team captain Casey Mear on his selection for the Wales U18 International Squad. Casey’s fantastic achievement follows an extensive set of trials for Wales Hockey/Hoci Cymru which have been running since September 2024 involving both training days and weekend camps in Cardiff.

Casey started 2025 on a high with news in January that he was selected to the full Wales Under 18 Squad across 2025 and looks to gain the opportunity to earn his first cap very soon. Casey is also working towards selection for the Hockey Euros in Turkey in July of this year.

The selection is the culmination of a long running programme with Casey working his way through performance pathways in England, transitioning through County representation and three consecutive years within England Hockey’s Performance Centre and Talent Academy Programmes.

In addition to his role in school hockey, Casey is an ever present fixture for Oxted Men’s 2s in the South East Premier Division.
