Amazing Trinity ATCL Diploma Success for Rodney
We are delighted to announce that Rodney L, Fourth Year has recently passed his Trinity ATCL diploma for Piano Performance. This is a spectacular achievement, especially for someone of his age. An ATCL music diploma demonstrates an equivalent standard to the first year recital of an undergraduate degree and is a widely recognised, advanced qualification
Rodney was praised in particular for his wide dynamic palette and for his use of stylistic phrasing and detail throughout the repertoire. His recital comprised of a range of repertoire:
J.S. Bach Prelude and Fugue in D minor, BWV 851
Haydn Piano Sonata in C, HOB XVI/48
Chopin Nocturne in F# minor, Op. 48, No. 2
Schubert Impromptu in Eb, Op. 90, No. 2
Debussy La Plus Que Lent
Rodney is also a bassoonist and is studying GCSE Music. He is a fantastically gifted musician with much potential as a pianist and composer. Congratulations on your fantastic achievement, Rodney.
