Academic Success in Maths Achievements

“Congratulations to the 27 students from the Third , Fourth and Fifth Years who qualified for the UKMT Kangaroo maths competitions following on from the UKMT Maths Challenge, achieving 2 Gold Certificates, 4 Silvers, and 13 Bronzes between them.

Particularly well done to the 2 Gold Certificates , Tiantian (in the Third year, but taking the Fourth Year “Pink” Kangaroo and getting the best in School) and Hanyi (in the Fourth Year). Also, congratulations to Nigel for his Silver Certificate and Best in Year for his Third Year “Grey” Kangaroo.

At the same time as the Kangaroo was sat, the following students did extremely well in the even more challenging Olympiad papers.

Ian W (Fifth Year) got a Merit in the Maclaurin Olympiad.

Jiayi L and Florence N (4th year) achieved Distinctions in the Hamilton Olympiad, with Jiayi also achieving a Bronze Medal (placing her in the top 100 in the country) 

Rupert M (Third Year) achieved Distinction and Bronze Medal in the Cayley Olympiad, again placing him in the top 100 in the country.”
