Mental Health Awareness, Dick Moore
Monday 10 February, 6.00 to 8.00pm
Humphreys Theatre
With statistics telling us that one in ten young people experience a mental health issue at any one time we’re keen to do all we can at Caterham to take a pro-active approach to promoting sound mental health. Providing our young people with the tools to be emotional literate, and ensuring our whole community has a basic knowledge of common mental health issues leads to a reduction in stigma around mental health and helps to create a culture where we all can thrive, getting support when necessary.
We are delighted to have Dick Moore, from the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust, speaking on the evening of 10 February. Dick is a wonderful, engaging speaker who has spoken in the last few years to our sixth formers and also to our staff and trustees. An ex-Headmaster, Dick regularly speaks at schools and other institutions raising awareness of mental health and sharing his own personal story.
Parents of pupils of all ages are encouraged to attend this event which promises to be informative, challenging and uplifting. To allow us to plan for refreshments and seating please register your attendance by Wed 5 February by emailing administrator Janice Cannon ([email protected]).
