1984
Tickets are now on sale for this year’s senior school production 1984, taking place on the 4, 5 and 6 of December. Based on George Orwell’s classic dystopian novel, the play examines a world under totalitarian control, where lies are sold as truths, freedom is an illusion and Big Brother is always watching. Set in the round, with the audience surrounding the actors, the play asks us to consider our culpability and to examine our own world in relation to the one we see on stage. What is real, what is fiction and what is blissful ignorance?
The cast have been working exceptionally hard over the last few months, and we cannot wait to share their efforts with you. We’re also thrilled to announce that we are once again up for a number of awards at this year’s National School Theatre Awards. We will keep you updated on our progress; keep your fingers crossed!

Please note that because this production explores themes of sex and violence, and infers moments of torture, with blood effects being used on stage, we have given it a rating of 13+.
