US Record Breaking Uni Offers

Huge congratulations to our “Class of 2029” and the nine Upper Sixth pupils who have secured offers from a wide range of prestigious US universities.

It has been a record-breaking year for this cohort, who collectively received over 40 offers from American universities, together with multiple academic scholarships – no mean feat when many of the places they applied to have over 100,000 applicants a year and acceptance rates in the single digits.

This year offers have come from universities and colleges spanning east to west including Columbia (Ivy league), UCLA, NYU, University of Southern California, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Emory, University of Michigan, Boston University and the University of San Diego. Pupils will be pursuing a range of majors from economics and engineering to sociology and film studies.

The amount of work required in preparing an application for a US university cannot be underestimated and begins early on in the Sixth Form, sometimes before. It’s fantastic to see these pupils rewarded for all their hard work.
