Leading lights take Senior Roles at Caterham School

September 2025 will see two leading educationalists step into senior positions at Caterham School, through internal and external appointments. Ms Sarah Print-Griffiths will step up to become Senior Deputy Head and Mr William Law, currently at Tonbridge School, will join Caterham as Deputy Head Teaching, Learning & Curriculum.

Ceri Jones, Headmaster said: “I am delighted Caterham continues to both attract and retain the brightest talent in education, colleagues who are at the top of their game and who are driven by purpose, values and excellence. Our mission is to ensure all our young people achieve outstanding outcomes, develop a sense of purpose and inspire a curiosity and determination in all of them to search out opportunity and challenge beyond school. These appointments bring continued strength to vital areas of school life and ensure the best provision for Caterham pupils.”

Sarah Print-Griffiths

Sarah Print-Griffiths, MA (Oxon), joined Caterham in 2017 as Deputy Head Wellbeing and Pastoral introducing a groundbreaking, and now award-winning, wellbeing curriculum which sees pupils gain from 100 hours of timetabled proactive wellbeing sessions in addition to first class pastoral care. Sarah will become Senior Deputy Head following Mr Dan Gabriele’s promotion to headmaster at Colfe’s School, London in September 2025.

Recognised as an innovator and influencer in UK independent education, Sarah works in an advisory capacity for UK wide HMC schools and the Department for Education addition to her work embedding a whole school approach to pastoral care and wellbeing at Caterham. Sarah is a maths graduate from Oxford University and taught at Dulwich College for 11 years before joining Caterham where she continues to teach maths.

William Law

William Law joins Caterham in September 2025 from Tonbridge School where he has been Head of Modern Foreign Languages since 2018 and latterly Housemaster of a sixth form boarding house. Outside the classroom, Will has directed plays, run debating, and has been a civilian instructor in the RAF. A former senior examiner for a UK exam board, he has a particular interest in teacher training and cross-school partnerships. William is delighted to be joining Caterham and is excited by the authentic work the school is doing in areas as diverse as educational research, AI, wellbeing, and partnerships.

William read Modern Languages at Oxford University. After a formative year abroad teaching English in an international school near Barcelona, he began his career at Aiglon College.
