Twilight Concert Highlights
The first Twilight Concert of the year was a lovely informal event which largely featured younger pupils. Twilight Concerts (usually held at 5.00pm) give pupils the opportunity to perform in a relaxed atmosphere and are a wonderful showcase for our many talented musicians. The audience was treated to a fantastic and varied programme of music, ranging from Alejandro G performing Elgar’s ‘Pomp and Circumstance March No 4’ on the trumpet, to Olivia B’s expressive rendition of Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’. Other highlights included Alfred D’s jazzy performance of Paul Harris’s ‘Saxequential’ on the saxophone and Eugenie C’s playing the evocative ‘Prelude: Twilight’ by D. G. Rahbee. Lucy B ended the concert with an accomplished performance of the solo flute piece ‘Sea Echo’ by Sally Adams.
