Bringing Innovation to the Nation at HMC Annual Conference
This week saw the HMC (The Head’s Conference) cross-UK annual conference in Belfast with heads from the UK’s leading independent schools gathering together to tackle the biggest issues in independent education, and education wholesale.
Caterham’s Mr Webster led the session on AI, education technology and innovation including sharing the work of Caterham School in bringing RileyBot to life. The School’s AI teaching and learning bot was seen as a blueprint for integrating the latest technology alongside traditional teaching skills. Questions to Mr Webster from the delegates highlight how far the thinking has come when talking about #AI in education.
From the breadth of UK schools represented at the conference there was a growing sense of what schools want to do and that taking the lead in developing platforms with schools specifically in mind is going to lead to better outcomes for our staff and pupils, just as is being modelled here at Caterham.
