Caterham Boarders Make Fantastic Start to Term

Caterham Boarders Make Fantastic Start to Term

As we kick off the new school term, both the girls’ and boys’ boarding houses have been buzzing with excitement and activities. Here’s a recap of all the fun and memorable moments from the first two weeks:

Junior Bowling Trip

Last weekend, our Juniors enjoyed a fantastic bowling trip! It was a great chance for them to bond, show off their bowling skills, and make new friends. With plenty of strikes and some good-natured competition, the outing was a huge success. The laughter and excitement were infectious, and the sense of teamwork and camaraderie was evident throughout the day.

In-House Activities for All Ages

In the evenings, boarders have had the opportunity to unwind with a variety of in-house activities. From arts and crafts sessions to movie nights, board games, and baking challenges, there’s been something for everyone. These activities have not only helped our pupils relax after a busy day of classes but also allowed them to develop friendships across year groups.

Fun Day Sunday

The highlight of the first weekend was Fun Day Sunday, where all boarders came together for an action-packed day. With outdoor games led by prefects and an ice cream or two to cool down, it was a brilliant way to wrap up the weekend. Everyone participated with enthusiasm, making it a day full of laughter, friendly competition, and memories to cherish.

Senior Social Event

The Seniors enjoyed a social evening that gave them the chance to reconnect after the summer break and welcome new boarders. The event included music, food, and plenty of time to chat and relax. It was a wonderful way for the older pupils to unwind and bond with their peers. This was followed by a second, more formal evening with fabulous canapes and team-building games.

Trip to Thorpe Park

As a grand finale to the first two weeks, boarders embarked on an exhilarating trip to Thorpe Park! The roller coasters, rides, and thrilling attractions had everyone buzzing with excitement. The trip was a great success, with boarders raving about the experience and already looking forward to the next adventure.

The first two weeks have been an exciting start to the school term, and we look forward to many more fantastic experiences in the coming months!
