Keynote Speakers:

Dr Christopher Wong (Alumni) completed his medical degree at the University of Hong Kong and is currently working as a resident at the Department of Medicine in Queen Mary Hospital.

Dr Albee Mak (Alumni) studied a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS) at The University of Hong Kong. She is currently working as an A&E doctor. 

Dr Michelle Leung (Alumni) is a clinical psychologist and training officer at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and a private practice clinical psychologist in Central Health. She has completed a doctoral degree in clinical psychology (DClinPsy) from University College London and a master’s degree in mental health studies from King’s College London. During the clinical training, her research focused on the effectiveness of virtual Cognitive Stimulation Therapy with people with dementia. Michelle currently specialises in working with young people and older adults with depression and various anxiety disorders. She is also supporting adolescents and their families who have difficulties in self-identity, body image, eating, sexual trauma and low self-esteem. Before her clinical training, she worked at HKU, focused on promoting students’ mental health and suicide and self-harm prevention. Her clinical work is informed by cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), commitment-focused therapy (CFT) and systemic and narrative approaches.

Justin Chan graduated from the University of Warwick and continued his studies at the University of Cambridge gaining an MPhil in Finance and Economics. Justin is an innovative entrepreneur who has developed a groundbreaking portable medical imaging device. This cutting-edge technology enables individuals to monitor themselves for over 50 common conditions, bringing advanced diagnostic capabilities into the hands of everyone. Justin is CEO at Gense Technologies, where the mission is to help clinicians, patients and individuals to make distinctive, lasting, and substantial healthcare improvements through accessible preventive screening and chronic diseases monitoring, and to build a diverse lab that attracts, develops, excites and retains exceptional people.
