Top Two Finishes for Both Caterham Teams at SATRO Engineering Final
Last week saw the final of the SATRO engineering competition, open to schools across Surrey. Caterham was one of only two schools that had the maximum number of teams qualify. The final was held at Royal Holloway, University of London, and the pupils got the chance to tour the campus before the event. The competition saw the teams challenged to build a device to raise objects using simple materials in 90 minutes. The competition was fierce, and all the Caterham teams performed well, coming up with effective designs. In the end both the Lower Sixth and Third Year teams finished second in their age groups, both only just missing out on top spot. Well done to all those pupils who took part.
