MAster Cadets Receive Awards from Headmaster
The Headmaster was delighted to meet with five Sixth Form cadets this week who passed the most demanding course open to Army Cadets nationwide.
CSgts Cha and Morgan (Upper Sixth) and Sgts Amsel, Gill and Pullen (Lower Sixth) were selected to attend the Master Cadet Course over the summer, joining seventy other cadets from the cream of the cadet movement across the UK. Their week with the Army saw them put through their paces as leaders in a four-day battle exercise, leading other cadets whom they have never met and in most cases were much older in section and platoon tactics. The had next-to-no sleep and were assessed at every turn by their directing staff, but they returned utterly enthused by the experience.
Many cadets failed the course. These five passed with flying colours and very encouraging reports. They become Caterham’s first ever Master Cadets and were presented with their certificates and badges by the Headmaster.
