History CLIO Prizes
Every half-term, the History Department is delighted to award the CLIO History Prize to three pupils who show particular promise, aptitude, endeavour, and enthusiasm for the subject and are thus considered deserving of recognition. The prize is split three ways to recognise the talents of a senior, middle, and junior school historian, with all three receiving a certificate, chocolate, and a book of their choosing. On this occasion, due to brilliant performances in end of year exams for the Third and Fourth Year, it was decided to split the middle school prize between two pupils. Congratulations to our winners this half-term who were presented their prizes by Mr Hosking, Head of History:
Senior Prize: James B – who chose On Tyranny, by Timothy Snyder
Middle Prize: Vivienne C – who chose Dissolution, by C J Sansom
Middle Prize: Violet W – who chose Empireland, by Sathnam Sanghera
