Top Spot for Caterham Physics Pupils
Caterham’s success in physics continues this week with pupils securing places in the top 15% nationally and a host of gold, silver and bronze medals in the national ‘Senior Physics Challenge’. The challenge tests the sharpest minds of the nation’s Lower Sixth Form physicists. A huge congratulations goes out to every single one of our 22 Caterham pupils who entered as each and every one secured a medal! Our pupils picked up eight Bronze medals and nine Silver medals with Artem S, Bohdan V, Emma D and Alex M securing Gold, placing them in the top 15 per cent of the 5200+ students who took part nationwide. Set by the University of Oxford, the challenge requires answering forty tough physics problems in an hour and it’s a gruelling experience even if you have nearly a year’s worth of Physics A Level under your belt, so a special mention must go to Alex M and William C in Fifth Year who secured a Gold and Silver medal, respectively.
