First Pupil Takes the CATTalk Lead
Last half term, Ben E (Upper Sixth Form) became the first pupil to lead a CATTalk as he blended Physics with no small amount of philosophy in his talk on Cosmology. He spoke about how the universe started before linking it to theories around the presence of almost unlimited other universes. In short… we may not be alone!
This week, Miss Jones (History) delivered the next CATTalk on “Intersectionality & the Environment”. We heard how intersectionality can lead to decisions that discriminate against people and communities, sometimes in the case of popular and well-meaning interventions (e.g., how population control can actually have gendered and racist consequences, or how birth control might also harm women in addition to giving them freedom of choice)
