Computer Science Pupils Win Professional Cyber Security Training
Caterham School pupils, Alex (Fifth Year) and Marcus (Fourth Year), have both been awarded places on SANS Foundations industry-renowned cybersecurity course worth over £3000 each.
Both pupils are members of the Cyber Security Club run by the Computer Science department. They were awarded their prize after competing to demonstrate their skills with Linux programming and a wide range of cybersecurity exploits and defences.
This is a real life-changing opportunity for them both. They will now progress to learn the fundamentals of cybersecurity concepts and techniques from industry experts, boosting their skills, confidence and knowledge, preparing them for further study or future roles in the field. The course features industry-developed content and real-life simulation labs with over of 120 hours of training. Should they wish, they will be given the opportunity to sit professional exams delivered by GIAC.
