Athletics

Athletics is a major summer sport at Caterham with all pupils taking part in the sport in ether their PE lessons or games periods. Our athletes benefit from expert coaching in all athletics disciplines and Home Field becomes a superb grass track for the summer term.

The school enters numerous prestigious meets against schools such as Brighton College, Cranleigh, Sevenoaks and Epsom. In addition to these regular Saturday fixtures, the teams also take part in the District Leagues and Championships, ESAA Track & Field Cup and Trinity Group Championships. Every year, a large number of athletes are selected to represent the district at Surrey Championships with some going on to represent their county at the National Schools’ Championships.

The school regularly wins the district championships that confirm its status as the strongest athletics school in the area.
