Junior History Society
This week saw Junior History Society take on orange mummification! To understand just how and why the Ancient Egyptians used mummification we thought we would give it a go ourselves. Each member of the society was prepared with an orange, a spoon, salt, bicarbonate of soda, spices, and bandages. After draining and drying out the orange we stuffed it with the salt, bicarbonate, and spices before sealing it up. Then it was time for the bandages! The Mummies (Eduardo, Hathor, Chaos and Ra) are all now safely at home near a boiler. We will be checking on them once a month so that we can see mummification in action.
