Business Essay Competition
Lost revenue streams, plummeting profits, eradication of markets – the Business world has been turned on its head this year! Our Upper Sixth Form pupils have spent the summer bettering their understanding of the fast-changing pressures facing firms around the world with our annual Business Essay Competition. This allowed them the opportunity to delve into topics such as Online Retail, the impact of Covid-19, Maslow’s Theory of Motivation and Business Ethics. No matter the title chosen, it was clear that all had improved their ability to apply business theory to practical examples whilst also balancing the use of a wide range of sources. However most impressive to the judges was the confidence that was apparent in students’ ability to work beyond the limitations of the A Level syllabus. Worthy runners up include Husayn, Thomas and Georgie, but the fantastic winning entry came from Ethan. His essay exploring fast-fashion’s impact on the global economy was thought-provoking, very current, and enormously persuasive- well done indeed! Congratulations to everyone who took part and keep an eye out for some featured essays in the annual Preview magazine later this year!
