Geographers present at Virtual Seminar
On Monday this week, all Caterham Pre-University Geographers took part in a Virtual Seminar where they presented their findings of the University-level research they had been undertaking over the past six weeks. The result was an hour of presentation, discussion and some quite extraordinarily detailed insight into a variety of human and physical topics, such as the Impacts of Globalisation on Bolivia, The Application of Gravitational Anomalies in Oil, Gas and Geothermal Exploration, The Impact of the Coronavirus on the North-South Divide in the UK and the Ethnicity of US Cities. The session finished with an argument over whether it is too late for humans to save themselves!
The quality and depth of knowledge displayed in these presentations was quite outstanding and the way in which the students spoke with passion about their topics bodes extremely well for their time at University. Mr Terrell commented “Whichever university they go to, I have no doubt they will make a great geographical impact!”
