A Beautiful Mind
A psychology film workshop recently took place where psychologists watched A Beautiful Mind – a powerful account of the life of Nobel Prize winner John Nash. Lower and Upper Sixth psychologists observed Nash’s journey with schizophrenia, a topic studied in depth as part of the A Level course. Psychologists were able to carefully consider issues with the reliability and validity of classification and started to build their confidence diagnosing specific symptoms including delusions and hallucinations; a great opportunity for pupils to develop their application skills.
