District Champions Enjoy Home Crowd
Congratulations to the First and Second Year athletes who competed for the school in the District finals.
The First Year athletes enjoyed their first highly competitive meet and performed admirably overall. The Girls finished fourth in the District with Issy having the top performance of the day in the Long Jump where she finished second overall. Will Craddock represented the Boys, who finished ninth overall, in the javelin and recorded the top boys’ performance with a 4th place.
Our Second Year athletes had the honour of competing in their District Meet on Home Field in front of a home crowd. The support from their school mates and the roar from the crowd motivated four athletes to become District Champions. Sophie (hurdles), Grace (800m), Aaron (long jump) and Harry (shot put) all finished first in their respective events. The teams did not fare as successfully with the girls finishing third overall while the boys finished eighth.
