Chamber Music Concert
A wonderful concert of chamber music took place on Tuesday in the beautiful acoustics of the Wilberforce Hall. The senior brass ensemble opened the concert with two majestic pieces including the Charpantier Te Deum. Newly formed groups, the Piano Trio and Clarinet Trio performed excellent technical pieces by Faure and Bach whilst the choirs, ETS and Chamber Choir performed moving works by Vivaldi and Purcell. A special mention goes to Alyssa Day who performed the solo for Dido’s Lament. The long-standing Piano Trio performed Faure’s famous Pavane with great style and precision. The concert was a wonderful celebration of chamber music through the ages which demonstrated the talents and skills of so many wonderful musicians and singers in the school.
